The Heart (also called the Ego or Will center) is a small but powerful motor. It governs willpower, self-worth, and the material world — the energy to make a promise and keep it, to commit, and to value your own effort. It is the only center that generates raw willpower, which is why willpower is far less evenly available than most people assume.
A Center is one of the nine energy hubs in your chart (your Centers in the Energy Blueprint on Self: Prime). Whether a center is defined (coloured in, a consistent source) or open (white, a place that takes in and amplifies) is one of the most practical things your chart reveals. When the Heart / Ego Center Is Defined
A defined Heart gives consistent access to willpower and a steady sense of worth. You can make commitments and mean them, and you have reliable energy to back your word. The one caution is honouring your own rhythm of effort and rest — even a defined will is meant to be spent in cycles, not endlessly.
When the Heart / Ego Center Is Open
An open Heart does not generate consistent willpower, and has genuinely nothing to prove. Under pressure it can over-promise — making commitments to prove worth — and then feel the strain of energy it cannot reliably summon. The freedom of an open Heart is releasing the need to prove itself, and not tying self-worth to willpower or winning.
